FAQ

What are eyelash extensions?

Lash Extensions have been around since the late 1990s and originated in Asia. They are a glamorous new way to extend the length and thickness of natural eyelashes and are a practical, convenient, and beautiful alternative to the daily use of mascara. They come in a variety of lengths, thicknesses, and curl types. They are applied on to individual eyelashes, one extension at a time, for a natural, elegant look to lengthen and add fullness to the existing lashes. Lash extensions enhance the natural lash line without causing any pain, discomfort or lash loss when applied properly.

How long does eyelash extensions last?

The short answer: Roughly 5-6 weeks before every lash sheds, you’ll need infills at 2-4 weeks.

The long (and better!) answer: There are many factors at play here, including your individual lash cycle and your aftercare. You might be surprised to learn that everyone’s lashes have a life cycle and shed, just like the hair on your head! Once a natural lash’s life cycle is complete, the lash falls out naturally, taking the extension with it. Everyone’s lash cycle is a little different, but on average you should be experiencing a turnover of your natural lashes every six weeks or so.

Do I need to prep before my appointment?

‍Prior to your appointment, try your best to arrive without any eye makeup, do not curl your lashes or wear mascara the day before and the day of your appointment. It will help minimize the cleanup time and more time for lashing.

Does lash extensions hurt?

No, it is pain-free. The glue has fumes and can make your eyes water when the lashes are applied.

Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit the spa while wearing eyelash extensions?

Absolutely! Eyelash extensions are intended to simplify your life and beautify your lashes. You may do all the normal activities you do. If you frequently visiting the sauna or doing a lot of yoga, you may experience a heavier shedding of the extensions.

How do I look after my lash extensions?

Aftercare is key! Ensure the correct aftercare is followed and maintained by avoiding direct heat for 12 hours. Do not use mascara. Don’t pull or rub your eyes. Keep your eyelids and lashes clean by using a mixture of baby shampoo and water at least three times a week. Infill the lashes every 2-3 weeks to keep them looking full of volume.

How do I look after my lash extensions?

Yes. They can be removed easily for you, however, you must not attempt this yourself as this may cause damage to your natural lashes.
